When can I start?..
There is no time like the present!! You have already made the first step..
Indoors sessions pay as you go, block bookings are available at a discounted rate. All outdoor sessions run as 6 week block bookings. When you arrive for your indoor fitness session you will be asked to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionaire, no worries!! It will just give us an idea of your fitness goals, level and highlight any issues we need to be aware of.
If you are post natal and would like to participate in fitness sessions please contact Claire directly for information on classes. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG)(1994) recommend that women should avoid all physical stress for two weeks postpartum and not to resume full daily activities for a minimum of six weeks after delivery. It is also recommended that those who delivered via Caesarean section should not exercise for 12 weeks after delivery to allow adequate healing time. It is important that after birth, you should be cleared by a doctor before embarking on an exercise programme.
What to wear?
For the indoor sessions wear comfortable clothing, a good sports bra, decent trainers and a smile.
Add a lightweight shower proof jacket for the outdoor sessions, it is Glasgow afterall.
What if its raining?..
We jog on!! All outdoor sessions will continue rain or shine, unless of course the MET office has other ideas.
Remember there is no such thing as bad weather... just inappropriate clothing!!
What are the benefits?
